Why did we revamp our website?

Our new digital home for Hello French

Bonjour ! If you’re reading this blog, you’ve probably noticed that Hello French has a completely nouveau (new) look. After beaucoup (a lot) of blood, sweat, and tears, we’re thrilled to share our new website with you! Myself and the entire équipe (team) at the Hello French HQ have been working very hard over the past year to design and launch this new digital home for all things françaises (French).

But first, some background. Hello French began as a humble Instagram account in the summer of 2020 with just two followers: me and my wife! In 4 years, we’ve grown into a community of over 2 million French language & culture lovers. What started as a passion project has grown beyond nos rêves les plus fous (our wildest dreams)! We love teaching French with a modern, inclusive twist and having conversations about culture, society, lifestyle, mental health, and more!

So, why did we overhaul our website?

  • With 2 million+ members in our online community, we wanted to create a more robust, better digital home for everything we’re about.
  • As the largest digital platform for French language & culture, it was important for us to make some upgrades so that you can have a seamless experience on HelloFrenchNYC.com.
  • While we love publishing on social media, we also wanted to offer our community another digital hub—packed with even more features—that enriches the French learning experience.
  • Which brings me to the features… inspired by making French accessible and fun, we needed an online platform that could host new tools to help you learn French intuitively, on your own. This is the digital learning experience you deserve!

Before you start exploring the new site, let me tell you a bit more about all les choses (the things) you’ll find here!

  • Did anyone say le shopping? In the Shop, you’ll find our bestselling French language e-books: Le Bouquin, Le Cahier, and Hello Pronunciation in addition to our Hello Paris travel guide. Get everything you need (and save money) in one click with our bundles! Our décor items, including posters, were designed with amour, and we hope they bring that certain je ne sais quoi to your personal space.
  • And because we always want to find new ways to share the French language with you, we’ll be launching digital Masterclasses soon. Sign up for the waitlist to be the first to know when they drop!
  • Et pour finir (and to finish), Le Blog, where you can read our musing on all things French—from language tips and cultural insights to recommendations and whatever else is on our minds. This is your place to grab a café, sit back, and relax while reading Hello French.

Merci for reading this first edition of Le Blog! We can’t wait to share more with you bientôt
