1. Overview
These Terms and Conditions (the “Agreement”) govern the purchase, participation, and cancellation of all lessons, classes, and educational programs offered by Hello French through www.hellofrenchnyc.com (the “Website”).
By purchasing or enrolling in any Hello French lesson or course, you agree to be bound by this Agreement, including all policies referenced herein. “Hello French” refers to Hello French LLC and its instructors, contractors, and representatives.
2. Booking and Payment
All Classes must be purchased in advance through the Website. Enrollment is confirmed only once payment has been successfully completed.
Accepted payment methods include major credit cards and approved third-party payment providers. When available, installment or payment plan options may be offered through third-party platforms such as Shop Pay or PayPal and are subject to those providers' terms and approval processes. Hello French does not control third-party payment decisions or disputes.
Failure to complete payment, chargebacks, or reversed payments may result in immediate suspension or termination of access to Classes and Materials.
3. Class Formats and Inclusions
Private Lessons
Private lessons consist of one-hour live Zoom sessions with a Hello French instructor. Lessons may include personalized instruction, tailored exercises, and follow-up materials when applicable. Specific progress timelines or outcomes are not guaranteed.
Group Courses
Group courses consist of live Zoom sessions conducted over a defined schedule, typically eight 90-minute sessions unless otherwise stated. Enrollment includes access to a private Google Classroom containing lesson recaps, shared whiteboards, assignments, and curated cultural resources.
Students enrolled in group courses receive digital access to some or all Hello French proprietary materials, such as Le Bouquin, Le Cahier, or Hello Pronunciation, unless otherwise specified on the course description page.
Special ProgramsÂ
Certain programs, such as the "Immersion Circle," include enhanced features, such as limited enrollment, additional live support and Zoom sessions, or supplemental communication channels. Program-specific details published on the sales page form part of this Agreement.
4. Instructors and Substitutions
Private Lessons
For private lessons, Students select their instructor at the time of booking based on availability displayed on the Hello French sales page. If a private lesson cannot take place due to instructor unavailability, the session will be rescheduled at a mutually agreed time. Private lesson cancellations or rescheduling do not entitle the Student to a refund or credit.
Group Courses
For group courses, the lead instructor and instructional structure are specified on the applicable sales page and form part of this Agreement.
- Standard Beginner Group Courses are led by Marie-Lola, with select guest participation from Cécilia in designated sessions.
- Immersion Circle Programs follow a structured instructional format. The eight-week core program is led by Marie-Lola. Two sessions, including the opening and closing sessions, are led by Cécilia. Cécilia will also appear in select additional sessions throughout the program. The program includes a dedicated WhatsApp group moderated by both Cécilia and Marie-Lola, with enhanced support throughout the course.
Hello French reserves the right to adjust instructor participation for group courses due to illness, emergencies, or operational needs. Any such adjustments will be made with qualified instructors and do not constitute grounds for refunds, credits, or transfers.
5. Cancellations, Refunds and Credits
Private Lessons
All private lesson purchases are final and non-refundable.
Students may request to reschedule a private lesson by emailing classes@hellofrenchnyc.com at least twenty-four (24) hours prior to the scheduled session. Rescheduling is subject to instructor availability and is not guaranteed.
Any rescheduled private lesson must take place within fourteen (14) calendar days of the original scheduled session date. If the rescheduled lesson is not completed within this timeframe, the session will be forfeited and is not eligible for refund, credit, or further rescheduling.
Lessons missed, canceled with fewer than twenty-four (24) hours' notice, or forfeited due to no-shows are not eligible for refund, credit, or rescheduling.
Group Courses
Group course cancellations follow this policy:
• Cancellations made fourteen (14) or more days before the course start date are eligible for an eighty percent (80%) refund or full credit toward a future cohort within the calendar year.
• Cancellations made seven (7) to thirteen (13) days before the course start date are eligible for a fifty percent (50%) refund or credit.
• Cancellations made fewer than seven (7) days before the course start date are non-refundable and non-transferable.
Once a group course has begun, no refunds, credits, or transfers will be issued for any reason.
