How It Works
1️⃣ Book your lesson: Secure your spot by purchasing your session here. Please review instructor availability on this page before booking.
2️⃣ Share your goals: After purchase, you'll receive a short questionnaire to help personalize your lesson.
3️⃣ Schedule your time: You'll receive a link to book your lesson. Sessions must be scheduled and completed within two (2) weeks of purchase and are subject to instructor availability.
4️⃣ Join on Zoom: We'll meet on Zoom for a focused, personalized one-hour session.
5️⃣ Get your resources: After the lesson, you'll receive a follow-up email with curated resources to support your continued learning.
Booking Policies
- All private lesson purchases are final and non-refundable.
- Availability responsibility. Instructor availability is displayed on this page prior to purchase. Students are responsible for reviewing availability before booking. Purchasing a lesson does not guarantee immediate availability at a specific date or time.
- Lesson and package validity. All private lessons are scheduled subject to instructor availability. Single private lessons must be scheduled and completed within fourteen (14) days of purchase. Four-lesson packages must be completed within thirty (30) days of the first completed lesson, and eight-lesson packages must be completed within ten (10) weeks of the first completed lesson. Any unused lessons that exceed these timeframes expire and are forfeited.
- Rescheduling policy. Lessons may be rescheduled by emailing classes@hellofrenchnyc.com at least twenty-four (24) hours before the scheduled session. Any rescheduled lesson must take place within fourteen (14) days of the original session. Late cancellations and no-shows result in forfeiture of the lesson.
- Lesson expiration. Unused lessons expire and are forfeited in accordance with our full Lessons Terms & Conditions.
- Content use. Lesson materials and recordings, when provided, are for personal use only and may not be shared, copied, or redistributed.

Meet Your Teacher
Marie-Lola has been teaching French for over 10 years, with experience at institutions such as the Alliance Française and the French American School of New York. Originally from the South of France, she holds both a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in French Literature from the University of Toulouse, where she also studied phonetics, grammar, and didactics.
She is a certified DELF examiner and has completed professional training in the International Baccalaureate (IB) program. Marie-Lola co-authored three French learning books with Cécilia Jourdan at Hello French, including a pronunciation guide designed to help students develop ease in spoken French.
Her teaching is guided by curiosity, connection, and creativity. She focuses on helping students progress while engaging with French culture through language, music, literature, and everyday communication. Outside the classroom, Marie-Lola enjoys reading, dancing flamenco, and discovering hidden gems in local bookstores.

Yes—as long as you email us at least 24 hours in advance. Sessions missed or canceled with less than 24 hours’ notice are non-refundable and cannot be rescheduled.
